Vedanta Assets Ltd (VRL) on Monday introduced that the corporate has lowered its web debt by USD 300 million within the first half of this fiscal and expects to additional cut back its debt by USD 500 million within the second half of FY’22.

With the complete debt compensation at Volcan, the pledge on all of the fairness shares of VRL has been launched, the corporate stated in a press release.

Volcan Investments is an funding arm of metals-to-mining magnate Anil Agarwal.

“VRL has lowered its web debt (together with Inter Firm Mortgage and mortgage at Volcan) by USD 300 million in H1 and expects to additional cut back its debt by USD 500 million in H2 FY22,” the assertion stated.

The corporate stated that it believes that robust operational efficiency from its world class asset base will strengthen its steadiness sheet and result in funding grade credit score metrics.
