Jamaica reopens borders to UK travellers

New tourism campaign from Caribbean hotspot Jamaica

Jamaica has reopened its borders to UK-based travellers.

The choice comes after flights to the Caribbean island had been banned for a number of months within the wake of skyrocketing Covid-19 circumstances in Europe.

The preliminary ban was imposed underneath the Catastrophe Threat Administration Act in Jamaica throughout December.

The ban was lifted as a result of reality “near 70 per cent of UK residents have obtained their first dose of vaccinations,” stated Jamaica minister of tourism, Edmund Bartlett.
