Badgers battle back to top Notre Dame 4-2

Donovan scores twice, Badgers beat Notre Dame 5-3

The No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers overcame an early two-goal deficit to beat Notre Dame 4-2 on Friday at LaBahn Arena.

The Fighting Irish found the back of the net just 31 seconds into the first period before scoring again at 8:28.

Wisconsin’s Owen Lindmark cut the deficit in half with a goal at 3:22 in the second period and Cole Caufield notched the equalizing goal later in the period on the power play.

Tied 2-2 in the third, Linus Weissbach gave the Badgers the lead in dramatic fashion, scoring his 100th career point at 8:18.

Weissbach added another point for good measure, this time scoring an empty-net goal at 19:35.

Wisconsin goaltender Robbie Beydoun had 29 saves on the night.
